God’s
Pleasure at Work: How Christ’s Values Invigorate
the Workplace and Renew the Community
God’s Pleasure at Work equips followers of
Christ to make intentional and relevant connections
between their work-lives and the bigger picture of
reality that a biblical worldview provides. It is
for all types of workers, from CEOs, to carpenters.
God’s Pleasure at Work is not just about information,
it’s about transformation. The course is based
upon the premise that when Christianity is integrated
with one’s worklife, the workplace can be invigorated
and the community can be renewed.
Goals of this course include:
1. To see God’s
will and ways lived out through followers of Christ
in the their daily workplaces, including all spheres
of business, education, the arts, civil service,
law, labor, technology, health services, and every
other legitimate form of work.
2. To invigorate the workplace and renew the community,
with the ultimate aim that the broader culture will
be characterized by a high respect for God, for His
Word, and for people.
3. To add millions of additional
Christ-followers to the workplaces of the world through
the influence of co-workers who are already in the
workplace, living out their Christian faith, and
opening the door to a personal relationship with
Christ.
4. To generate a biblical work ethic in the marketplace,
so that trust and integrity will undergird the economy
of nations, and people will experience the joy of
the Lord in the context of their work.
